The "Kykx 103.7FM" thread

Was in the Armagh area today when i heard a New Dance radio station on 103.7fm called Kykx103.7fm..Is this Nick Cousins New radio station finally taking to the airwaves of the Mid-Ulster area..Sounded like a damn good radio station to me pity the signal/reception seems to disappear when you get to the Cookstown area which is in the heart of MID-ULSTER.. Also there is a damn shite BBC Irish language radio station coming in loud and clear in that part of MID-ULSTER.. They were giving out a txt num through their RDS sustem which was 0779525473.. Wounder wot Kykx stands for....Have they a website??

Its possible it may emmigrate to 106.6, when the tramsitters are repaired later in the summer. You will note the text on the RDS has the same number as THUNDER 107.7, which is now on almost as full power as it will get... The antennae system is still messed up, and needs a great deal of work to fix the screw ups. But that, as they say... is manianna....

The 103.7 is transmitting from a secret test transmission facility.

Yeah has anyone any contact details for Kykx 1037??? When will Energy106 be returning to full power again? and is kykx103.7fm the new station that is going to take over from Energy106.6 when Energy106 closes....

Nice to know that I am not doing the work on the rig until October... I am working on some big UFO stuff,.. like loads of ones down in Spain, and did anyone get the huge one in Fermanagh a few weeks ago. That one was over 300ft wide, and was over the houses.

The stuff needed for the big rig is a 90 day job,.. from the drawings to manufacturer, and then there are the summer holidays.

Currently KYKX is testing, but we need to see if the people scheduling can do any better than LJ who is too busy keeping 2 many eggs in the air.

People are very quick to jump to conclusions... Maybe the KYKX folks aren't as stupid as to think that a they won't get raided...

Would be nice to see it back on the air again - something a bit different to the usual drivel we usually get from smaller stations like some of the RSLs here.

I have noticed Kykx back on 103.9 as they where a few years ago only this time they have a massive/decent signal in most parts of Mid Ulster except South Derry... I noticed a while back maybe 6months ago Kykx was a Country and Western Station... Now they are back with non stop old skool dance nice audio, but they seem to have no jingles at this moment!! Whats the story with Lazer 103.9 was this just a test for Kykx on 103.9??
