Yes, you read right,
i was reading a board for digital tv in ireland and came upon a number of threads stating that due to pressure from the BCI over apparent "breach of contract" regarding mainly the world cup,
BBC 1/2 on the irish EPG(for which we are paying extra subscription money) are to be removed shortly.

Anyone know anymore?.

Yes.

It is simply not true.

FIFA stepped in and asked the BBC to stop the World Cup interactive service in the Republic of Ireland. They were quite within their rights to protect RTÉ, the rightsholder in this country, by doing that.
But that's as far as the story goes.
It sounds like a bit of scaremongering and nothing else.

In anycase if it were true it would only encourage the trade in "grey market" FTV cards from Northern Ireland and Britain

Whatever happenned to the EU's "television without frontiers policy" ?

Isint it ludicrous that viewers in many parts of Ireland can recieve Bremen regional TV more readily than BBC Choice !
