People have been saying as of late tha the dance scene is dieing out in dublin....last night told me otherwise! Spirit last night was absolutly packed and the music was of the highest quality, people who wouldn't normaly listen to house music couldn't resist hitten thew dance floor. This was all down to Hugh Scully...brilliant set...hats off :notworthy

Only downside to Spirit (apart from the pig ignorant bouncer in charge of the VIP area) is the fact that because some of the dance/theatre performances are choreographed to the music you tend to hear certain songs crop up again and again if you're a regular punter. Minor quibble - and it is a good venue. Check out the middle floor there on a Sat - they play a lot of classic disco-ey/funk/house stuff - even played "Native New Yorker" by Oddessy the last night I was in!

hate the place....full of chicken breasted coke heads who think they run the place and the smell of diarylea coming from the decks is unreal!!Nice club itself bar that golf ball thingie...and they over pack it!!Alot of undercovers going around in it too as known as a drug palace.
Sometime they do get gud acts in but its so overpacked and hot that the nite cant be enjoyed IMO
