It's official: New York is no fun
To see how completely New York has destroyed
its nightlife, check out the club that has
sprung up on the site of the legendary
Sound Factory. Called Spirit, the new venue
boasts "a vegetarian restaurant and wellness
centre". The owners hope "it will be free of
the nightmarish drug abuse that can take
hold in clubs".

Well maybe they'd want to do a quick check in the Dublin Spirit to see how nightmarish that is, with or without drugs. (It's less nightmarish with drugs IMO)

Was in there on Sunday and was pretty impressed with Spirit considering most of it was closed off - previous to that I saw it in full swing for a Roger Sanchez night and it was way too packed to enjoy. Al Gibbs, as ever, done the business with impeccable mixing and decent enough tunes (the odd vocal would have been nice but maybe we missed all the Housey stuff - we got there at 1.30 ish)
Spirit seems to have alot of knockers (clubbers and DJs alike) but I reckon they'll do very well on Sundays considering everywhere else will be closing at 1 or 1.30
