Safety-Dance!

Ah we can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind
Cause you and your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're are no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to, A place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind,
and we can dance

We can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're are no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to a place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
and we can dance.

Francois!

Ah we can go when we want to the night is young and so am I
And we can dress real neat from our hats to our feet
and surprise 'em with the victory cry

I Say we can act if want to if we don't nobody will
And you can act real rude and totally removed
And i can act like an imbecile
I say we can dance, we can dance everything out control
We can dance, we can dance we're doing it wall to wall
We can dance, we can dance everybody look at your hands
We can dance, we can dance everybody takin' the chance
Safety dance
Oh well the safety dance
Ah yes the safety dance

Ssss-Aaaa-Ffff-Eeee-Tttt-Yyyy
Safety-Dance

We can dance if we want to, we've got all your life and mine
As long as we abuse it, never gonna lose it
Everything'll work out right
I say, we can dance if we want to we can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're are no friends of mine
I say we can dance, we can dance everything out control
We can dance, we can dance we're doing it wall to wall
We can dance, we can dance everybody look at your hands
We can dance, we can dance everybody's takin' the chance
Oh Well the safety dance
ah yes the safety dance
Oh well the safety dance
Oh well the safety dance
Oh yes the safety dance
Oh the safety dance yeah
Oh it's the safety dance
It's the safety dance
Well it's the safety dance
Oh it's the safety dance
Oh it's the safety dance
Oh it's the safety dance
Oh it's the safety dance

Talking to my local TD Yesterday, and according to him, and i Quote, the FF party is in danger of becoming the most umpopular Government of all time. He also said that Minister McDowell has been told that the new laws will not work and that even though they have been passed in the Dail, they will never be inacted on!!
Don't know if that puts anybodys mind at rest!!

Barney!

Interesting Barney

I think what the Gardai will do is use these new laws to close the kips they dont like early and leave the rest of us alone

Thats me out of a gig then :o

Seriously though can this government get any worse with these antiqued laws. It struck me a while ago that in certain parts of Dublin where a lot of people smoke, no matter how much the govenment tax a packet of cigarettes these people will still continue to smoke upwards of 40-60 a day. The same goes for drinking in any context! IF we were in the USA, we would have large lobby groups behind us with the power to revoke these decisions. We have something like that in this country, its called Gerry Ryan or Joe Duffy. We all care about this, but who will take the stand against this backward policies of the government.

I think the problem here Fox is , we all complain but none of us are prepared to do anything about it .
Calling people like G.Ryan or J.Duffy dosent really get us anywhere , it's just a way of getting our voice heard but it wont have an effect .
A lot of people in this buisness complained and ranted on about the proposed new licencing laws but never did anything about it apart from one particular individual .
We can all post messages here and give out about certain issues regarding the country but how many of us actually tried to amend things on certain issues .......None , me included .

Maybe we are prepared to sit back and let politicans dictate how we live our lives and expect to conform to their new rules regardless of our opposition towards them .

You see Fox , we just let the people in power walk , sorry , stamped all over us and we just get on with life pretending nothing has happened , correct ?

Well , if im out of work a couple of nights a week because of the proposed new licencing laws, im ready to confront the wanker who has lost me my only means of income and put my family in a situation of lost income , ill not think twice about standing outside his house asking him why he lost me my income ...

Only problem is Fox , apart from one or 2 , ill probably be there on my own in the pissing rain ........
