Oh well, somebody needs to kick off the technical forum so how about this?
Which of the 4 sites at Three Rock are Spin and Talk using? Presumably not the RTE one. I haven't looked back at their applications to see if it is mentioned there or what radiation patterns they are allowed.
BTW, NTL claim on their sitefinder to have a tower at 3 Rock. Which one is that?

Spin and NewsTalk are using the Rocksolid Communications facility on Three Rock, along with several others incl. 98FM. Very nice facility.
FM104 are using a site shared with a 2-way radio company (Motorola maybe?) - Shockingly bad facility.

Rocksolid seem to carry most of the Dublin operators. Are there several different antenna systems on that tower? Presumably the operators don't all have the same radiation pattern.

I don't know the exact setup, but there is more than one system, with some operators sharing antenna systems.

Looks like 104FM agree with you; their application for licence renewal says they're planning to move to the Rock Solid tower!

Back on the old message boards, someone reported that there was a planning application attached to one of the site gates up at 3 Rock for the replacement of the tower. I think Joe Yerkes from MR3 (if it was indeed he who posted under that name) replied saying he was behind the application.
Does anyone know which tower this was? I presume it must be the Pageboy one as it now seems to be the weakest one there.
However, in light of the plan to replace the FM antenna on the Rock Solid tower I wondered if the planning application was, instead, to add the new FM antenna to that tower. BTW, has work started yet?

I note from aertel that RTE "intend to commence commissioning their new antenna system at Three Rock" from 6 May.
No mention if this is radio or TV so I assume TV (as this is naturally sooooo much more important than radio).
Ok, so I'm a bit slow here and the work is probably all but complete but does anyone know what they're up to?
