Greetings Anoraks...

I'd like to enlist your help, as I'm seeking a fresh new name for a radio station.

The format is Chart/RNB/Commercial Dance and a bit of rock, all targetted mainly at a 15-25 audience.

We have good coverage, a great studio and excellent audio quality, all we're missing is a name, and we're looking for something hot, fresh and catchy - but above all ORIGINAL!!.

I love the Red FM name, and Spin - pity they've been used!!!

All suggestions welcome!!

Cheers...

Nick :-)

How about

No Name FM

Or go the Challenge TV route and call yourself ?FM

Maybe Frank Kennedy FM to save yourself before the inevatible buyout.

Thanks RSJ!!

That's quite an effort!!

Love the suggestions - We'll take some time considering them!

We'd already used Hit Radio, when we were on air last year with a crappy signal, and no format!!
We'd considered Galaxy, but no-one liked it, also Cube, which even less people liked!

We're not in Dublin, so No Name's warning about FK is unlikely!!

Cheers Folks!

Nick
(Still Undecided Name) FM. :-)

There is an RSL within our TSA which is called Xtreme FM, and NRG is too close to Energy 106, also WE are currently known as Zee 100!!!! (Please ignore the crap incarnations of past, if you have heard these - the new station is 200% Fresh!!)

Thanks again for all those suggestions - That lot must have to took a while!!

How about Radio Nova or Sunshine Radio. I don't think they've been used here, for a while anyway!

I like the Extreme name , I think there is one in canada somewhere.

BTw - how about the Max fm suggestion , you could use it to strapline some of the music you are going to programme , like -

Max RNB @ night....on Max Fm

Max Dance all weekend long......@ Max Fm

Max Rock @ Max Fm.

Only suggestions tho' ...........best of luck.

Hi North-West Listener...

We are working on getting a decent signal on the air, and only this evening I was organising transmitters etc...

This is a complete turnaround, with NOTHING like Zee 100, or Hit Radio.

I have had exams and other things to worry about over the past year, all of this ends next week.

My finger is well and truly out.

We are going on the air very soon, all other details are secret at the moment to avoid constant hassle from people.

Watch this space - Radiowaves Bulletin Board will be the first to know when the new station hits the airwaves.

Guys, I reckon this was all talk and no action :)

This message was posted in June initially - and we've heard nothing (?) since, so I don't think there's any point in posting names... *Sigh*
