the late great paul ashford passed away the weekend ie stepside fame who used to play nova park in the 80.s rest in peace paul

Yes, indeed. Very sad news. He played a guest spot at the Noggin Inn a couple of years back and was excellent. John Clarke played Last Resort a couple of weeks back... A crackin band. Strangely they're rarely played on Irish Radio these days...

Very sad news, great music memories - listening to Nova with 'last resort' and of course 'theres one in every town' booming out.

Paul Ashford and Stepaside also sang 'Radio Nova Rock'in the bay ' to the melody of last resort, and Paul's other hit ' jenny' got a lot of air play on Magic 103

I am shocked to hear this very sad news, a nice guy with a fine talent. I remember only a short while back he went to great efforts to send me a copy of "Theres One In Every Town" and called me several times to ensure I had recieved it. I have no doubt JC will do the honours this Sunday as our national musical oracle. God this is a sad time R.I.P Paul
