Was talking to a gal that I know who's going out with a DJ and she was asking me for gift ideas. It got me thinking because I drew a blank. I mean, yeah, there's a million and one things that you can get us but generally we're the only one's who know what we need (aside from our friends who are also DJs who we may have had a moan too). What use is another set of headphones when we have four already and any improvements have very specific requirements? We're quite a finicky bunch when you think about it.

Anyway, out of interest, what gear have you gotten off your non-DJing F&F over the years?

I had a tear in my eye 2 years ago when I opened up a gift to find Traktor looking back at me.

Last year, the folks were kind enough to get me some LEDs.

And this year, Santy must have thought I was a very good boy because he got me the Pro Tools Essential and Keystudio USB Keyboard.

I've also got a fair few (good-intentioned) stinkers over the years too, the stand-out being the Dr Dre earphones that gave a great bass boost but were designed so they kept slipping out of my ears!!

What have been your well-intentioned stinkers and the presents that people have really put the thought into?

Years ago my folks bought me a set of box lights,
that would have been Christmas 94'.Apart from that I have only every received Sony headphones (which I like),and a dj bag with the word 'technics' written on it.

Hi Guys,

Happy New Year everyone...:)

This year, Santa was good, and brought a new SM58 (switchable), which was top of my wish list.
Best mic ever, my old one is over 20 years old now, and looking a bit battered, but still working.
