Ryan Tubridy is beginning to grow on me.
Dempsey is the King but there's something kind of spontaneous about The Full Irish.

Waiting for the flak!!!

Humm ... ok i'm going to hold my hand up too and agree; The Full Irish is actually good at times if not humorous! I think Tubridy non-DJ style is a real winner !

Com'on guys and gals be honest !!

Tubridy bores me to no end. I actually can't believe 2fm put him out - isn't 2fm supposed to represent the youth or something? I know NOBODY under 20 who listens to 2fm in the day...

As if one RYAN doing a TALK show wasn't enough, 2FM decided to replicate this on breakfast!
I'm with NoelRock on this. He bores me to tears. I find he talks too fast (and that's not me listening too slow!). The perception he tries to drive home is that he's above everybody else. I find his 'humour' very left of centre and dark. He doesn't speak like the normal punter.
When I sampled his show a few weeks ago.........he played Ella Fitzgerald!!!!!!!!!
I think Tubridy's non-DJ style is a real winner with only himself!
Just one misconception about 2FM - It's remit, as a public service broadcaster, is to be the Rock and Pop outlet as opposed to a Youth station. I just wondered what category Ella fell into?!
So...breakfast plays Ella, Gerry talks and talks on the music station and Larry launched into oldies @ 12. So effectively we don't normally hear a current song until 1pm...........................

2Fm - youth station or something?

I'd imagine as a national Broadcaster it would have to facilitate all tastes and besides, each generation has a different conception of what is rock and pop just as every individuals perception is.

Ryan Tubridy has improved slightly since the show started back in March, he could be more sharp on the desk though and also change his sig. tune from The lightning seeds. I dont mind him playing oldies, but he should cut down on this and play more chart.

Today FM brekkie show with Ian is getting a bit weak and I am starting to get tired of the whole Gift Grub thing.

Bring back Ian to 2FM!!

It would be great to hear Rick or Dusty doing the 2FM brekkie show though :D
