Crikey, I think I've got that on a 45 rpm gramophone record somewhere!
It used to be the theme tune of Radion Noordzee International.
(oops showing my age rather, am I not?)

Man of Action was used as the sig tune for RNI in the early 70's and became readily associated with Pirate radio as a result.
It was first heard in Dublin around the same time when it was aired by some of the early AM hobby pirates. I first remember it being used as an Anorak show sig in 1979 when it was heard on South Side Radio to signal their Free Radio Campaign Show. I first used it on Radio Dublin Channel 2 in 1980 when I started doing the Anorak thing - it was also used by Sean Coyne on Radio West in the mid to late 80's when he took over the Anorak Duty when Radio Annabel closed putting my own FRC show off the air. It returned in 1995 when The Anorak Hour started on Coast FM.
It has also been used by various UK pirates with Anorak News show's , most notably by Ian Johnston in London for his excellent 'Tender Trip' programmes.
A great piece of music (in a sad Anorak way) and for me, always associated with Alan West's Mayday broadcast when the Me Bo 2 was fire bombed.
