Great news for FTV cardholders. ITV2 can now be received vai the 'Other Channels' menu, but probably not for long.

Tuning details are 10906 Vertical 22000 5/6

it is using channel id G54.

I’m sorry, but I don’t mean to be stupid, but what is a FTV Card. I myself have Sky Digital – am also wondering if we can get UTV on the Other Channel menu?? I remember we used to be able to get it – anyone able to help ??

Too late, ITV2 is gone now from that test.

An FTV card (sometimes called a BBC card) is available for free if you live in the UK from the BBC. It basically gives you all the UK terrestial channels on your Sky Box (plus a few others).

Some people have got friends / relatives to order these cards in the UK, post them over to Ireland when they arrive, and then activate them in their own Irish Sky boxes.

Very handy little cards to have!

Northern Ireland FTV cards are best of all because they have the UK and RoI channels on them

There are only two downsides
1) It can be difficult to find anyone in NI who actually pays their TV licence (Only licence payers are entitled to FTV cards)
2) You get UTV with its camp but patronising announcers

Errr, wrong.

NI FTV cards do not have RTE1, NET2, TV3 or TG4. They are essentiallly the same as all other UK FTV cards except the regions are differnt (UTV instead of ITV1 London etc).

I find some of the threads on other forums about this issue very cluttered - go to this thread http://www.radiowavesforum.com/rw/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1185 or http://www.radiowavesforum.com/rw/showthread.php?s=&threadid=486 where it's explained simply and where you don't have to work up a huge phone bill.

Sticking on my moderator's hat now. It is very bad netiquette to publicise another message board on the one you're using. It is also lazy. Post the information here yourself instead.

I think they just phone up the BBC/TV licencing quoting their licence number
