helo all. a question to those who like myself still buy vinyl. do you buy a normal copy of a tune or a promo? reason i ask is i've seen a few tunes who have both double promo coppies and normal single 12inch coppies. i've heard that promos aren't as good as normal 12inches is that true? thanks should i get the 2 single normal sets of remixes or the double promo?

I haven't bought a 12inch single in ten years. But I love to hear people like yourself do.There was a great sound off vinyl loved the scraches in the build ups on lisa lashes !!!I was a hardhouse jock in my day, anyway,If I remember the Promo copys often had different mixes on them to the normal copy, best thing you can do is listen to them at the shop if they have a turntable and see what suits you, Buying the to versions is madness as you would only ever use one copy and the other would gather dust in the vinyl box.

yes i love vinyl, i have an addiction to it, its like a magnet that attracts me, you just cannot beat the sound of those crackles at the start nor do you get that buzz from cd of putting the needle at the start of a record and hearing those crackles. anyway i agree where possible don't buy both coppies however in some cases i've had to as i've liked all the remixes so i have had to get one remix twice but unfortunately with vinyl that can be the way sometimes. it would be nicer if all 12inches were uniform (you could get a british a german or even a duch 12inch wich all have different mixes) but as sometimes tracks are released on different record labels in different countries that may not be possible. anyway i must start buying hardhouse again their are still some good hardhouse records being released (aint as good as the classic bouncy stuff though) anyway bring back vinyl.
