Get Veronica to send it in a plain brown package so that the customs think it's porn and you should be OK

to arnold,
they said that they must (by law) specify to customs, by printing it on the package, exactly what it is. BASTARDS!!!!!
Anyway, just finding it so hard to find an FM transmitter in Ireland. Tried buy and sell, word of mouth, this website......NO LUCK!!! thanks anyway arnold,
Alpha.

Veronica do have to state what they put in the package but the can be vague. IE electronic components.
Anyway I wouldn't worry unduly, I've never had anything stopped, I've even been asked for duty and VAT on items from outside the EU.

Arnold use nrg kits the tx's are much better quality
I wouldn't worry about the tx being confiscated by customs I have
had 8 sent to me without any trouble they usually write that the
equipment is audio / hi fi equipment . I would though
advise you to use Stephen Moss (nrg kits ) it might take longer
to get your tx but its better that getting bad quality stuff.
Your problem will be frequency if in Dublin and I forgot get a
compresser and limiter you wont be long on air without them
especially with the frequency situation in Dublin thats if you live here.

In theory they could but in practice its extremely rare. Theres no need for a customs decleration if the package is coming in from another EU country.
Given the large volumes of legitimate parcels that travel through the mail system the customs arent going to even start looking unless 1) They already strongly suspect someone and 2) Its something really serious such as major drugs shipments or child porn

What sort of TX are we talking here? A 'pre-packed' one that looks like any rack-mount gear might get you into trouble if they go looking at the dials. A bare circuit board one's unlikely to be noticed - customs officers ain't generally electronics heads :)
