How far is the process along....i.e. Have you your studio set up, what power are you running, whats the coverage area etc?

Thank you for asking we have the TX its an NRG 20 watt so our range should be around 5 -10 miles heres what we have in the studio 1 mixing console (Numark) with built in mixer 1 Acer Computer with 1'000 tracks 1 EEE Computer with another 1'000 tracks also has our new jingle package 2 Numark mics the TX Is in MONO at the minute but we do hope to have it in stereo very soon

yes 5-10 miles from the studio most of the Northside of Dublin and some of the Southside

Dear Biggie its all about how high your aerial not how much power you have we on the the 2nd block of aptment block so we should get 5 -10 miles

The aerial needs to be on the top of the apartments mate either that or be using an extremely directional yagi. A dipole will flood the building with RF you
would be surprised how much damage you can do with 20 watts .. your mixers and cd players will hum with RF getting into your electrical cables most
likely you will badly distort TV reception except Digital from a dish cable TV such as cable link suffers badly from close tx radiation pattern's . And your
signal will be poor the aerials performance will be effected you will have SWR problems tx will heat and lower in power or blow its main transistor .
Get yourself a mountain site away from house's buildings trees over looking Dublin or move your antenna to the top of the building . Should be safe enough
though to link from your apartment via highly directional antenna's broadband is also a great way to link these days ..

for f//k sake are you mad. 101.2 isn't that not in today fm's frequency range. if it is comreg probably will be knocking on your door very quick. please be careful i don't want to hear of more rades by comreg who just waste money in a resession

testing. we will see. i will be in dublin on friday so i will have a listen. bet you it isn't on air. if you ask me this station is asking for trouble and will be gone before it is even launched infact i don't believe this station even exists but if it does and i hear it i will apalogise.

Plus you really shouldnt place a name of were your signal is hitting if your on 20w... 20w is low power so it must be near artane...
I dont think comreg would bother, But if they did they'd just go to artane and track ya like a shot:)

Get the transmitter (If it exists)
And just send it back to nrg or anybody other than you!

Your just picking frequencys off your head!

Your putting out RF from a apartment while your on the second floor...

The antenna isnt on the roof!
So your causing interference to tele's and other electronic devices,

You really need to learn, Or at least get somebody with half a brain to rig it all up correctly!

i think everyone is agreed on this. it's nothing personal against you legendfm but we're trying to get you to realise that broadcasting is not simply hooking up equipment and turning on a tx on any frequency you like. you have to know what your doing and you don't. as it has been said here you have advertised many stations, none of which came on air so just go and set up an online station and leave the airwaves of dublin alone

The other stations that where on where very low power of cause you wouldnt hear it
2 it was broadcasting from kerry not dublin
3 we do have a NRG 20 transmitter and yes we do have a brain and o is not all in my head thank you very much
4 the other reason you didnt hear us is maybe we where broadcasting near a mountain and we where very low down near the talee bay theres mountains all ver the place

this can only get better cant it? im waiting for the next episode...have they got a half wave coat hanger with 9db gain ?does the cb power supply hum a bit?..the gemini mics were the good bit...you need a power mic get a big turner xpander+3+2 thingy gets you out much better and always remember if you ave a bit of swr you get more power out on your zetagi cb master power meter
