Whether you will be journeying back after the long weekend or relaxing after tending your garden I would be delighted if you could join me on a special edition of Smooth Jazz just for the May day holiday.
Lennon/McCartney produced many fine melodies during The Beatles career and it is my intention to feature jazz make overs from their classic song collection.
For example Ray Charles with Yesterday or recently deceased Bud Shank with Chet Baker taking us through Hello Goodbye.
Other contributors will include The Jazz Crusaders,George Shearing and Stanley Turrentine.

Jimmy Saville hosted a show years ago which crammed many tunes into a 15 minute slot by the simple expedient of just playing a minute from each one.
With this in mind a 4FM listener has challenged me to put together a show featuring only tracks of 2.5 minutes or less.
If you tune in Monday night from 9.04PM (or listen again on www.4fm.ie) you can see how I get on.Some great music,as usual, but with the accent on brevity this time.
