A friend of mine has developed this new baby called "StationMaster" ........... basically its a scaled down virtual application aimed at the local/national/streaming market

Have a look at the link here ............http://www.pcdjuser.com

Click on "StationMaster" under "Products" in the top left of the screen. There you'll see a screenshot of what he has done so far. Its a work in progress and the screenshot is a little small - but you'll get the idea of it (if you squint your eyes a little! ........ he's uploading a larger one in the next few days)

All feedback appreciated. The main crux of his argument been ........ "Why pay so much for things like MasterControl??"

Will there be an automatic rotation feature available on that too ?? From what I've seen, it looks ok ;-)

After having a test drive on the beta version an hour ago Ive got my mate to make sure he sorts the screenshot out as it *really* doesnt do it justice. Maybe paste the JPG into something like Photoshop for a proper look for the time been??

"Will there be an automatic rotation feature available on that too ??"

Would that be like the "random play" function on Radugga? If so, the answer is yes

PS - How much is MasterControl these days and can anyone possibly justify its costs? The last qoute I heard was craaazy, cant remember the exact figure however

It's not like the random play, it's more like the rotation scheduler like Otsjuke. Random play on Raduga doesnt work right, sometimes you hear the same song twice in an hour.....

With a good scheduler, you don't have a problem like that....

K, thanks for clearing that up. I'll ask him when I talk to him again this Friday as Im not 100%

The only quibble I'd have with my mate's "StationMaster" is he's probably put too much on there. As Ive said tho its a work in progress and things will become a lot clearer when he makes the screenshot bigger

Well, I'll wait and see. And I like to hear from ya if he's going to do something with that rotation idea. Thanx KJ ;-) !!

Beside the Otsjuke, you can 'buy' the scheduler. That means you can make a rotation plan for yourself. Example ??

You make several maps on your PC: Rock, Pop, 80's, Rap, Dance, Jingles, whatever. Via the scheduler, you can make some commandlines, that you want Otsjuke to play a certain tune at a certain time without having the chance hearing the song again in an hour, as you CAN have with random play in Raduga.

More information can be found via www.otsjuke.com, search for the scheduler, there you will find a better example then I just gave.....

Ive used Raduga for a long time, just tried Otsjuke a few weeks ago and it runs GREAT !!
