greg parks station who now works for q102.he had his own shows i think in the afternoon. hmmmmm... let me think!

there were some good jocks on it... some bad too.some did well like lynsey ( or whatever her name is ) who went to fm104 and became the voice of 104 for a while.dont think she did any VO work for LMFM but got an onair show there before lite fm.

there was another jock ( very 2fm'ish ).he was mostly on at night i think.cant remember his name but never heard him anywhere again.
I liked 'Mcfly' now working for kiss fm in Dundalk.enda caldwell was on it for a short while.
i could hear it much better in its later days ( very strong ) on my journeys through the county. it had good audio and was quite tight.the music i felt was very chart without tooo much dance.different when you think that almost all Dublin pirates were playing only dance.

You are wrong comlink.Greg parke was never on in the afternoons. He did brek! Mc fly came on after him in the noon.Yes they did well, and what about lynda? She was good and for more than a one night stand.what a babe!
I called to his house one summers day when he was waxing his car.His German girlfriend was there helping him ( a German car too! ) and lynda walked in for her show licking an ice cream. She had a friend with her to answer the phones who was also goodlooking.Just ask Enda caldwell ( he was there ). I thought... you lucky b******! In the end he fu**** off to Berlin with his German babe only to end up back at kiss fm in Dundalk doing breakfast.

Maybe he got fedup with German tott and wanted the good old Irish totty!!! Or maybe he missed good old Irish pirate radio.Greg you are a dick head with women. Why did you not dump them my way??????? ya porn star!!! lol. Just what has he done since?????
Good in bed or not.. be careful or you'll end up a radio daddy!!!

I'd say... if a sticker is still up! strange how a station would promote another in their area.maybe they were good pals with radio Dublin!? was energy 24 hours or what?

Energy was a great station of the 90's from Navan.

It started in October '94 with just evening programming from 6pm-12midnite initially. Then it went 24 hours!!

Some power and frequencies:

94 - 10watts stereo.

95 - 75 watts stereo

96 - 150 watts stereo

It really was the Atlantic 252 on FM for Meath - that is what it set out to do,and it achieved it! Sure the Atlantic Engineers even set up the levels on the Energy on-air processor!!

Liners were also heard by Pizzaman,Jo King and more!

The playlist was Top40 Rhythmic with a slight lean towards smooth Rn'b in places with TLC,Brownstone,Strike,Jade and more getting regular recurrent rotation.

The jinlges were based around the Jam Energy package and there was a set of Female liners too (wonder who's sister voiced those!)

The great thing about Energy at the time was it wasn't trying to be Pulse/Kiss/Sunset/or a dance clone, similarly to Freedom these days, Energy was a CHR Rhythmic with "all the hits on one station"

The audio was lovely most of the time! Quite loud and clear with good compression and LOADS of wide Stereo - I think Greg got some knda weird kick outta winding that STEREO pot round the full 360 degrees!

It filled a much needed niche in Navan and surrounding areas in the days of the mid 90's.

There was a good association with other Meath Station Atlantic 252, not so sure if the Co.Louth legal boys in faraway Drogheda were very happy about Energy taking all the Meath listeners back though. Still, that's Rock N'Roll isn't it?

KS 1075 was like the short lived "love-child" of Energy and it came on in mid 2000 and lived for the summer months til it was shelved .. for the time being...
