Working with the station manager in the main office at NUI, Galway, and spending a smaller part of your working week at GMIT you’ll be required to carry out duties including; assisting in promotion of the station, maintaining our recording and broadcasting system, performing occasional on-air duties, planning and developing a programme schedule in conjunction with the manager, producing and editing shorts, and promos as required, setting up and operating radio production equipment and supervising staff. Part of your remit will include the development of the station in GMIT. For full terms please see www.flirtfm.ie.
While a qualification in a media course is not essential, applicants should have; excellent verbal, organisational & people skills; an aptitude for computing & technology; and a genuine interest in the media.
