Magic 105 in Monaghan is an excellent oldies station. Pity the signal in North Belfast is so poor :-(

very much agree magis105 is a really good station, however
last weekend i was in portstewart and the kiss106 signal stayed well into coleraine magic/energy long lost
seemed strange as kiss are supposed to have only 16kw power
magic105 i think have 24kw and energy more than both combined, so fair do's to kiss they are getting their signal out well

I think that Kiss 102 from Wexford would be hard to beat for audience response;
A poll shows Kiss with 88/ 151 votes for it as their fav. station
The standby site has received more than 5,000 hits
A recent afternoon show (1 to 4) received 305 txts
Most shows have every song requested
All this in 3 MONTHS broadcasting!!!!!!! I`d be suprised to hear of any pirate outside Dublin achieving a stronger influence/listership.

Text,website hits?????????????????????????????,who cares it would be more important to make money from the station,this would maybe display the fact that people are willing to advertise,thus they believe people listen to the station.
I think Kiss Fm and Magic105 do this very well,i.e salesoffice,loged cars and jeeps,car strickers,T-shirts etc etc:cool:

Is a station that seeks advertisers through different methods better as a pirate than a station that attracts them moreso?

Thanks for the kind words sub-site! We seem to have a great listenership response and all here agree that our extensive music library and fast easy access database works very well.

Mix 106 has received a great response in Galway partly due to Radio Friendly`s refusal to alter it`s formats. Maybe their size is just leading to a bit of a comfortable monopoly situation for them in the 15-24 age group.
