For anyone who is interested in the Irish pirates of the 80's it is worth picking up a copy of "A Different Wavelength" by Cathal (Ray) McSherry. Not sure where it is available as I got a loan of a copy from my old mate Owen Larkin. He and Cathal worked together on Big M Radio back in the good old days.
It is really the story of Cathal's life in South Armagh which is interesting in itself, but there are a couple of chapters dedicated to the old pirates. Some of the information, dates etc are not quite right, but there is some good stuff, especially his discription of the Radio Star Country operation post the bill.
No publisher or ISBN are listed but might be worth enquiring at your local bookshop.
