got asked for Chrimbo music last night but didn't play it. If you're doing a christmas party its a different kettle of fish though ...

With the exception of 3 early Christmas parties, Dec 8th is my limit for anything to do with Christmas.

I'd go along with the 8th December or Xmas parties. I'd also not play Xmas songs if perchance I get a birthday party in the run up to Xmas (And some of us have birthdays at this time of the year)

And some of us have birthdays at this time of the yearIndeed you do, Leyland (profiles are very handy when people drop subtle hints like that ;) ) and might I add that your typing is excellent for someone who's not even two years old! :D

Indeed it surely is worthy of a Spelling Bee as well as an Xmas present!
And who said I had invited you to a birthday party... yet? ;)

Bless me father for I have sinned, its been 3 years since my last confession. Last night I played the Pogues -Fairytale of new york as my last song at my gig! Went down a storm, but it re-enforces one thing, I fxxking hate Xmas music!
P.S. Someone robbed my bottle of Diet Coke out of the DJ box!

I dont mind the fact that xmas songs have to be played ( its my favourite time of the year ) but I do find it annoying that its still the same fecking xmas songs and theres not many of them either

Maybe there are only so many worth playing.
Wham, Band Aid, Mariah Carey, Slade, Pogues and I like Madonna's version of Santa baby. When these songs are only played for 3 weeks of the year I never mind hearing them. Lets face it Im sick of Mamma Mia or Crazy in Love. If only you could get away with only playing them at Christmas.
Wonder if anyone will play Gary Glitter this year?
